Privacy Policy (Declaration)

 

We recognize that personal information is an important asset (interests protected by law), and believe we have an important corporate responsibility to society to appropriately manage and protect personal information. In order to fulfill this responsibility as a business operator providing “safe and secure” services, we have established the privacy policy of handling of personal information of customers, business clients, officers, employees, etc. of the Company.
We hereby declare that we will abide by this privacy policy and strive to protect personal information.

 

(1) Definition of Personal Information
The term “personal information” as used in this Policy shall mean “information which can identify the specific individual” and include such information as will allow easy reference to other information and will thereby enable the identification of the specific individual (for example, name, age, date of birth, telephone number, email address, domicile, place of work, credit card number, bank account, etc.).

 

(2) Continuous Management of Personal Information
We will establish the management system and the method of handling of personal information including the method of storage of personal information to appropriately protect personal information, and will carry out such management system and method of handling of personal information, by designating the Personal Information Chief Supervisor and driving home such management system and method of handling of personal information to all officers, employees (including temporary employees, dispatched employees) and other related persons of the Company. We will also continuously review the method of the management of personal information.

 

(3) Implementation of Employee Education
We will regularly conduct education for our employees regarding handling of personal information, and thereby drive home the protection of personal information to our employees.

 

(4) Implementation of Information Security
We have established, and are operating the information security policy, and are taking security measures to prevent information leakage, alteration, and any other danger to information.

 

(5) Acquisition of Personal Information
We will acquire personal information by an appropriate and rightful means. When acquiring personal information, we will also notify the purpose of the acquisition and the scope of utilization of personal information

 

(6) Utilization of Personal Information
We will utilize personal information provided, in accordance with the purpose of acquisition and within the scope of utilization notified
in advance.

 

(7) Provision of Personal Information
1) We may entrust an individual or a business operator with work of the handling of personal information within the scope of the purpose of utilization. In such case, we will thoroughly examine the management ability of the trustee, conclude an appropriate agreement concerning the handling of the entrusted personal information, and exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over the trustee to ensure the security control of the entrusted personal information.
2) When we jointly utilize personal information among the Kewpie Group Companies, we will also take thoroughgoing measures to ensure the security control of such jointly utilized personal information.
3) We will not disclose or provide personal information to a third party other than the trustee to whom we entrust the handling of personal information, without the consent of the person related to such personal information. However, if we are requested to disclose personal information under a law or by order of the court, the police or any other public agency, we may make a disclosure or provision without the consent of the person related to such personal information.

 

(8) Response to Inquiry/Request about Personal Information
When we are requested by a person to disclose, correct, discontinue using or erase his/her personal information managed by the Company, we will, except in the following cases, take necessary measures after making identity confirmation:
1) Cases in which disclosure, etc. is likely to harm the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the person or a third party
2) Cases in which disclosure, etc. is likely to seriously impede the proper execution of the business of the Company
3) Cases in which disclosure, etc. violates other laws and regulations

We will comply with applicable laws and regulation of Malaysia and other rules and guidelines related to the protection of
