Driving Healthier Choices: KEWPIE Malaysia Supports “Mai Kurang” for a Healthier Nation

On 25 April, 2026 KEWPIE Malaysia supports the Ministry of Health’s ongoing efforts to address the rising concern of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) through promoting healthier and more balanced eating habits. In line with national initiatives such as the “Mai Kurang” Recipe Book, KEWPIE is aligned in encouraging Malaysians to rethink everyday meals and adopt smarter food choices without compromising on taste.

The “Mai Kurang” Recipe Book, positioned as more than just a cookbook, serves as a blueprint for healthier living, offering practical guidance to reshape eating habits among Malaysians, particularly in workplace settings. The first edition features 30 recipes designed to promote healthier eating at work, with plans to expand up to five editions comprising 150 recipes in total.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad highlighted that the initiative will be widely shared with food operators, including cafeterias, food courts, and restaurants, with 130 vendors already expressing interest. The recipes will also be made available for free access online and promoted through social media to encourage wider adoption as a national health agenda.
